Valve has rolled out a few major upgrades to search on Steam. Based on its various Steam Labs experiments, the developer is giving users more granular control. The first new addition is the ability to filter results by price, or only see games on sale. All search across the store now lets you set a maximum price, to narrow down the results.
You can also include and exclude specific tags from showing up in search results. Each tag will show the number of results being returned, for a clearer idea. For even more granular control, Steam will let you filter in/out VR-only games. The new update answers a long-requested plea: allowing players to filter out games they already know about. Users can now hide games owned, wishlisted or ignored from showing up in search results. Finally, search results now scroll infinitely, so you no longer need to worry about hitting next page.
