Street Stories were previously revealed to be Cyberpunk 2077’s version of The Witcher 3’s monster hunting contracts, in that they’re authored experiences that last about as long as a side quest. Street Stories are designed to allow players the opportunity to explore the game’s dense world, and they’re hand-crafted by CD Projekt Red’s open world team. “I think there’s around 75 Street Stories,” CD Projekt Red’s John Mamais revealed in an interview with On MSFT. “The Street Stories are like little quests. There’s story but there’s not, like, advanced cinematic storytelling sequences so much.”
“They’re a way to explore the world and level-up your character,” he added. “There are set templates that the guys can use but each one is customized to make them feel unique. The world’s going to be filled with that stuff. It should feel really good.” As part of the same interview, Mamais also revealed that Cyberpunk 2077’s story won’t include “tasteless sexualised violence”. Cyberpunk 2077 was recently delayed to September 17 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
