If you’re eager to see more of the long-anticipated action-RPG title, Biomutant, today is your lucky day: the game that has typically defied expectation and show off very little of its gameplay has given us a proper combat trailer. In the video, you can see the aerial-focused combat, complete with stylish moves and over-the-top animations. It’s cute, and more than anything it’s nice to see that a game that’s been in the works for so long is finally coming together. By the developer’s own admission, the game is ‘an open-world, post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable RPG’. So there’s a lot going on. Experiment 101 has also announced that anyone that pre-orders the game will get access to the Mercenary class DLC which boasts “a unique combination of perks” in addition to the full game. If you order on PlayStation 4, you’ll also get a unique Biomutant theme. It’s no secret that BioMutant has been in the works for a long time: it was originally announced at gamescom 2017, with Experiment 101 suggesting it was in the final stages of development in 2019 before finally showing off proper gameplay in June 2020. Biomutant is due to land on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 25.
