AGDQ 2020 ended with $3.13 million in donations for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, it was announced by press release. That’s more monetary donations than any previous Games Done Quick event, with more than 54,000 donations coming from over 80 countries. The previous record for donations came from last year’s Summer Games Done Quick 2019, which raised just over $3 million. In total, AGDQ 2020 speedran 134 games over the course of the nonstop seven-day event. The charity speedrun has so far raised a whopping $22 million since it first began in 2010, with donations going to AbleGames, Doctors Without Borders, and Organization for Autism Research, among others over the years. The next Games Done Quick event will be Summer Games Done Quick, which will run from June 21 through to June 28. Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 will take place next year from January 3 to January 10.
